Case Study,
How i saved my client thousands on recruitment, whilst reducing the time spent with recruitment agencies
My client who was a Supply chain Director in a reputable M&E Tier 1 contracting firm operating across UK & Europe was seeking ways for his associates to spend less time dealing with recruitment consultants from the agencies.
As client demands were growing and the workload did not decrease during COVID. So, it was imperative to plug the job gaps on their projects whilst keeping the workload of his own staff in the supply-chain department at an acceptable level.
I approached them with a very consultative recruitment service that could quickly free up the time spent on negotiating and specifying the job with recruitment agencies, whilst also considering the long-term business objectives.

I began by learning the overall business model, and then tackled the special needs of each region. To expand my understanding, I met with the supply chain director and other stakeholders to hold a client requirement analysis. Which included establishing budgets, contract length and what projects they were currently working on.

I then took on the role of independent Recruitment business partner for that business and dealt directly with the recruitment agencies on the client's behalf. Of the vacancies I was able to source myself, saving my client loads on commission fees that otherwise would have paid to agencies, whilst other roles had to be outsourced on a temporary basis which I managed from the front line and freed up the rest of the supply-chain department staff's time.
The result, happy users!
Reduced average hiring time
The average time to hire, from the job specification to the offer, is six days. I managed that in just 2 days for some roles.
Introduced us in new regions
New regions were introduced to us by referrals of our client. As a result of the calibre of candidates submitted and the quick timescales, we work too
Huge saving ££ by avoiding paying agencies commission
Our solution saved the clients tens of thousands of pounds that would have otherwise been paid to agencies.

Win-win for candidates & the client
As a result of the cohesion I've developed with this client, they no have appointed me as their preferred partner for all sites and across a variety of construction roles. This collaboration has become particularly valuable to the contractor, as they no longer need to focus on or pay a hefty sum to recruitment agencies. Instead, they invest their time to develop and grow their franchise. Whilst I proactively source, place and in temp cases manage the payroll (CIS, Umbrella), and only charge for the hours I spend doing client's work.
